Wild vs. Red Wings: Niklas Kronwall checks Charlie Coyle’s head

Well, we’ve got our first headshot of the night!
This one is courtesy of Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall, a notorious hard-hitter. Kronwall nailed Minnesota Wild rookie Charlie Coyle while the forward was skating with his head down. Kronwall was given a four-minute high sticking penalty, because apparently his stick was the real problem here. Never mind the fact that Kronwall lined him up shoulder-to-head and kind of left his skates to make the hit.
Or the fact that Kronwall has a habit of hitting guys when they’re not looking. Seriously, go search “Kronwall hit” on YouTube. These kinds of hits from him are everywhere. Or just watch this.
“It’s their fault for keeping their heads down,” cry Wings fans everywhere. Do you agree?
