Maple Leafs vs. Lightning: Joffrey Lupul lays headshot on Victor Hedman
Hedman left the game after the hit, but eventually returned to the bench.

It didn’t take long for our second headshot of the night.
Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman was injured in the third period when Joffrey Lupul hit his head on a collision at center ice. Hedman laid on the ice for a few moments before leaving for the locker room. There's no doubt that he was a little dazed after that one.
Unlike Niklas Kronwall's hit on Charlie Coyle, you can pretty much guarantee this one will be looked at by the league. There are two reasons for this. First, the principal point of contact on the hit was clearly Hedman's head. Secondly, the head NHL brass (Gary Bettman, Bill Daly, etc.) were in a suite at the game to see the play in person.
So, yeah. Lupul can go ahead and clear some room on his schedule for a disciplinary phone call tomorrow.
