Windsor Spitfires forward Ben Johnson has been charged with two counts of sexual assault in relation to two separate incidents.

The 18-year-old was arrested on Monday morning after one of the alleged victims told police she had been sexually assaulted by Johnson in the bathroom of the Mynt nightclub. After interviewing the alleged victim, a 16-year-old, at Windsor Regional Hospital, police arrested Johnson just before 4 a.m. on Monday.

During the course of the investigation, a 20-year-old woman came forward claiming that Johnson had also sexually assaulted her in the bathroom of a bar called the Krooked Kilt three weeks prior.

Johnson was held overnight and appeared in provincial court on Monday afternoon via video. His bail was set at $30,000, which was paid on Tuesday morning.

Johnson was selected by the New Jersey Devils with the No. 90 overall selection in the 2012 NHL Draft. He has yet to sign a contract with the team.
