The Carolina Hurricanes have placed forward Zach Boychuk on waivers, according to Darren Dreger of TSN.
Zach Boychuk placed on waivers (again)
Zach Boychuk was placed on waivers for the fourth time this season on Friday afternoon, in addition to three other players.

This marks the fourth time Boychuk has been waived this season and the second time in three days. Originally waived by Carolina on Jan. 30, Boychuk was claimed by the Pittsburgh Penguins on Jan. 31. After going scoreless in seven games, Pittsburgh waived him on March 4 and he was awarded to the Nashville Predators on March 5.
On March 20, he was waived by Nashville and then re-claimed by Carolina, completing what was likely a frustrating circle for the 23-year-old forward. His placement on waivers Friday is an attempt to assign him to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League, which was likely the team’s original goal on Jan. 30.
Whether this torrid affair has run it’s course remains to be seen. However, it is likely driving Boychuk crazy.
He wasn't the only player placed on waivers, as the New York Rangers waived Jeff Halpern, the Washington Capitals waived Joey Crabb and the Tampa Bay Lightning waived Brian Lee.
