Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa is not expected to play against the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night due to an upper-body injury, according to head coach Joel Quenneville on Friday afternoon.
Marian Hossa injury: Blackhawks forward expected to sit Monday night
Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa is not expected to be available for the team’s game on Monday night.

Hossa sustained the injury during the team's game against the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night. During the first period, Hossa was checked by Colorado defenseman Ryan O'Byrne and skated away from the hit shaking his head. He left the game and would not be able to return.
Hossa was unavailable to play in the team's game against the Anaheim Ducks on Wednesday night and is expected to miss his second consecutive game on Monday. Quenneville stated that he doesn't expect Hossa to miss an extended period of time with the injury.
According to Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune, the injury is not related to his head, which is obviously a concern given his history with concussions. Kuc cites a source who states that the issue is with his shoulder.
The Blackhawks have yet to officially acknowledge what the specific issue is, other than labeling it as an upper-body injury.
