Nobody in the NHL controls the puck like Datsyuk. He leads the Red Wings in scoring with 35 points through 32 games, and can make pucks roll over, play dead, and sing show tunes. Couture and the Sharks know him well, having faced his Red Wings in numerous regular-season and playoff matchups over the past few years. Even with all that experience playing against Datsyuk, though, sometimes he can still make you fall on your butt. He's just that good.
The Red Wings failed to score on this play, and the first period ended with a 1-0 lead for the Sharks on a goal from Joe Pavelski.
