The Pittsburgh Penguins (14-8-0) will host the Tampa Bay Lightning (9-11-1) at Consol Energy Center on Monday night.
Lightning vs. Penguins preview: Evgeni Malkin expected to return against Tampa Bay


It will mark the second of three meetings between the two teams this season.
The Penguins managed a 5-3 victory against the Lightning when the teams last played on Feb. 24. Sidney Crosby (two goals and an assist) and Steven Stamkos (goal and two assists) both recorded three points in the contest, while Penguins rookie forward Beau Bennett was credited with the game-winning goal.
Pittsburgh's other superstar, Evgeni Malkin, was not able to play due to a concussion he had sustained two nights earlier against the Florida Panthers. However, the team has already announced that Malkin will be available for Monday night's contest, barring any unforeseen circumstance.
In 18 games this season, Malkin has recorded four goals and 17 assists for 21 points (third on the team). The team compiled a 2-2-0 record in the four games Malkin missed.
Tampa Bay will enter the contest in the midst of a four-game losing streak, which began with their loss against the Penguins. Over the course of the streak, the Lightning have been outscored 14-7. Monday night will mark the third game of a four-game road trip for the Lightning.
The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m., ET and will be televised on TSN2, RDS2, NBCSN and ROOT.
