The NHL will hold all seven rounds of the 2013 NHL Draft on Saturday, June 30 at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, according to a press release from the league on Monday.

The NHL has announced that the 2013 draft will be held on a single day. In addition, the league has also released the format for the draft lottery system.

This will mark the first time that the entire draft has been held on a single day since 2006. The draft will begin at 3 p.m., ET and will be covered by TSN and RDS in Canada, as well as NBC Sports Network in the United States (NHL Network will pick up the broadcast at 8 p.m., ET).
In addition, the NHL has also announced the weighting system for the draft lottery. All 14 non-playoff teams will be eligible to earn the first-overall selection via the lottery. Teams that finish the regular season with the fewest points, will have the greatest chance of winning the lottery.
Fourteen balls, numbered one through 14, will be placed into a lottery machine. Four balls will be expelled from the machine, which will form a series of numbers. The series of numbers will be matched against a probability chart that divides the possible combination among the 14 lottery-eligible teams.
Here is the likelihood of earning the No. 1 overall selection, via the NHL:
Team 1: 25.0%
Team 2: 18.8%
Team 3: 14.2%
Team 4: 10.7%
Team 5: 8.1%
Team 6: 6.2%
Team 7: 4.7%
Team 8: 3.6%
Team 9: 2.7%
Team 10: 2.1%
Team 11: 1.5%
Team 12: 1.1%
Team 13: 0.8%
Team 14: 0.5%
No team can move down more than one position as a result of the lottery. The other draft positions will be determined via the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Draft Lottery will be held on Monday, April 29.
