Lightning vs. Devils: Cam Janssen hits Conacher in the head
Somebody wake up Brendan Shanahan.

Late in the second period, New Jersey's Cam Janssen came together hard with Tampa Bay's Cory Conacher along the boards. Janssen came up high on Conacher, left his feet, and led with his forearms.
Should there be a suspension? Yeah. Has to be. Otherwise, what the heck are suspensions even for?
Janssen received only a two-minute minor for charging on the play, and the penalty was of-set by a call against the Lightning.
Cam Janssen made headlines back in July, after the Devils lost the Stanley Cup to the Los Angeles Kings, for his offensive comments on a radio show in which he made a gay joke and called the Kings "Fat broads you regret bangin'."
While this is not directly related to this hit, it’s important to keep his past in mind when trying to determine his intention here, and whether he deserves to be suspended.
Until he gives me a reason to think better of him, I’m inclined to assume the worst about Cam Janssen. Suspend away, Shanahan!
