Jets vs. Panthers: Dustin Byfuglien wins it for Winnipeg with overtime goal

Buff took on the Panthers all by himself and won.

Bruce Fedyck - USA TODAY Sports

Dustin Byfuglien reminded the league why he's one of the best offensive defensemen in the NHL on Friday night, scoring the overtime winner to give the Winnipeg Jets a 3-2 win over the Florida Panthers.

Byfuglien had to take on what seemed like the entire Florida team to score this one. He started behind the net, protecting the puck along the boards, before skating back into the middle of the ice. Byfuglien used a slick toe drag to slip past a couple more Panthers defenders before firing the puck past Jacob Markstrom.

The Jets certainly earned the win, thanks to a great performance from goaltender Ondrej Pavelec. Pavelec stopped 38 of 40 shots against him.
