The Ryan Clowe trade saga continues on Monday, just two days before the NHL Trade Deadline on April 3, with ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reporting that a deal to trade Clowe from the San Jose Sharks could be completed as early as Monday.

The Ryan Clowe sweepstakes are heating up, with reports stating the struggling forward could be traded as soon as Monday.

LeBrun reports that the Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota Wild, Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins and possibly more are all involved in talks to trade for the veteran forward. According to the report, Clowe and the Sharks are "on the same page" when it comes to which teams are possible destinations for the forward, since Clowe has a full NTC as part of his current contract.
Clowe is in the final year of a four-year contract, and has a pro-rated $3.625 million cap hit for the remainder of this season. After posting 24 goals and 62 points for the Sharks in 2010-2011 -- as well as six goals and 15 points in 17 postseason games that year -- Clowe has just nine assists and no goals in 25 games for the Sharks in 2013.
Teams going after Clowe are likely expected a change of scenery and teams could help Clowe pull out of his slump, banking that the veteran could return to his postseason success if put on the right team.
A report in the San Jose Telegram states that, according to sources, a deal to send Clowe to the Flyers is all-but-complete. The Sharks Director of Pro Scouting, John Ferguson, attended two separate Flyers games over the weekend before taking in the Rangers-Canadiens game.
