Anton Volchenkov has discipline hearing for hit on Brad Marchand
Anton Volchenkov has a discipline hearing scheduled for Thursday morning for his illegal hit on Brad Marchand.

The hearing will be held over the phone, which means Volchenkov can only be suspended a maximum of five games. It will take place at 10:45 a.m., ET, according to Tom Guilitti of the Bergen Record.
The incident occurred around the 15-minute mark of the second period. Volchenkov made contact with Marchand’s head and led with his elbow. The officials immediately blew the play dead and Volchenkov was given a five-minute major for elbowing, as well as a game misconduct. Marchand required assistance in getting off the ice and was unable to return to the game.
Volchenkov was suspended three games for an illegal hit to the head in 2011.
Bruins head coach Claude Julien was unable to update Marchand’s status during his post-game media availability.
