The Dallas Stars have decided to trade forward Jaromir Jagr, according to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN on Tuesday morning.

The Dallas Stars have decided to trade Jaromir Jagr before Wednesday’s trade deadline.

Dallas and Jagr had both expressed an interest in extending his one-year contract. However, the two sides have failed to make any progress on a deal and it seems general manager Joe Nieuwendyk will look to deal the 41-year-old forward.
Considering the amount of interest San Jose Sharks forward Ryane Clowe is receiving, one would imagine Jagr will will have several suitors for his services. According to LeBrun, the Boston Bruins are the front-runners, which makes sense considering they have been interested in acquiring a top-six forward.
The Philadelphia Flyers have also been reported as a team of interest for Jagr, as have the Montreal Canadiens.
In 34 games this season, Jagr has registered 14 goals and 12 assists for a total of 26 points. He leads the Stars in goals and points entering competition on Tuesday night.
