Flyers vs. Hurricanes: Wayne Simmonds breaks slump with hat trick

Carolina failed to show up on defense on Saturday.

Wayne Simmonds (and the rest of the Flyers) has been in a bit of a slump. The winger hadn't scored in eight games, and his last two-goal game came on Feb. 20, so he was due for a breakout.

As if on cue, the Flyers played the horribly slumping Hurricanes on Saturday. Simmonds feasted on the Carolina defense with the first hat trick of his career, and the last goal was about as soft as you can get.

Shame on you, Justin Peters. Shame on you.
