Washington will host the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night in what could end up being the Southeast Division championship game. If the Capitals win, they earn the division title and put Winnipeg in a difficult position. Currently sitting on the outside looking in, the Jets playoff hopes could be drastically altered if the team loses in regulation to Washington.

The Sharks will punch their ticket with a single point against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night.
4. Will David Perron be demoted against the Colorado Avalanche?
Perron practiced on the fourth line and did not participate on either power play unit during Tuesday's morning skate. Head coach Ken Hitchcock said not to read too much into it. Perron stated he accepted any demotion and would play hard regardless. Who will he play with on Tuesday night? Will he be reunited with David Backes and Alexander Steen? Or was the demotion in practice just to send a message?
5. Will the Minnesota Wild's line changes make any difference in their game?
Head coach Mike Yeo altered the team's line combinations. Cal Clutterbuck will play on the second line, while Jake Dowell will play left wing on the fourth line with Zenon Konopka at center. Stephane Veilleux is scratched. Will these changes pay any dividends?
