Sabres vs. Penguins: Pittsburgh broadcasters mock Steve Ott

Steve Ott is a man with many enemies. Some of them don’t even play hockey.

Steve Ott of the Buffalo Sabres is such a great agitator that he has apparently gotten under the skin of the Pittsburgh Penguins broadcasters.

Late in the second period of the Buffalo-Pittsburgh game, Ott had quite a few words for the officials regarding a holding penalty his teammate Mike Weber received. It's unclear exactly what Ott said that annoyed the officials, but it must have been pretty bad -- because he was immediately given a 10-minute misconduct penalty.

And the Penguins broadcasters seemed pretty happy with that.

That’s Paul Steigerwald and Bob Errey of Root Sports giving Ott the business. Why exactly do they dislike him so much? I’m not sure -- but there’s an excellent chance that he may have tried to lick them once.
