1. Will the Chicago Blackhawks clinch the Presidents' Trophy?
NHL schedule: Five questions for Wednesday
A daily feature which asks the five hardest-hitting questions imaginable about this day in the NHL. Will our quandaries be answered? (That doesn’t count as one of the five questions.)

With a victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night, they will accomplish this feat.
2. Will the Detroit Red Wings reclaim the eighth seed?
Currently trailing the Columbus Blue Jackets by one point, the Red Wings can overtake the position with a single point against the Los Angeles Kings. Los Angeles is still vying for home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
3. Will the home team continue to own the season series between the Maple Leafs and Lightning?
The two teams will meet for the final time on Wednesday night. In their two previous meetings, the home team has come away victorious. Both meetings were decided by a final score of 4-2. Will that be the case on Wednesday?
4. Will Los Angeles and San Jose stay on pace for the fourth seed?
Both teams enter competition on Wednesday night tied at 57 points apiece. In the event they both register the same amount of points, a virtual one-game playoff for the fourth seed will take place in Los Angeles on Saturday.
5. Will the Phoenix Coyotes officially be eliminated from the playoffs?
While the team’s chances are slim, they’re still mathematically alive. However, a loss on Wednesday night will officially put an end to that theoretical situation.
