Ducks vs. Red Wings schedule: Playoff hockey returns to Anaheim Tuesday

The Ducks and Red Wings kickoff their Western Conference Quarterfinal series on Tuesday, April 30 at Honda Center in Anaheim.

The Anaheim Ducks finished last season with the third worst record in the Western Conference. This season, they finished one spot shy of the top. On Tuesday night, the Ducks will return to the postseason when they host the Detroit Red Wings as the West's No. 2 seed.

Detroit has established a reputation as being one of the strongest franchises in the NHL. That’s proven by the team’s 22-season playoff streak. While this run of excellence almost came to an end this season, the club managed to battle their way into the league’s second season as the West’s No. 7 seed.

The Red Wings won the season series between the clubs (2-1-0), but the road team won each game. Will that trend continue into the playoffs?
