T.J. Oshie told the media that he will play in Tuesday's Game 1 for the St. Louis Blue when they take on the Los Angeles Kings. Oshie's return will come two weeks after undergoing surgery to repair an injured ankle.
Blues T.J. Oshie says he will play in Game 1
The Blues will have T.J. Oshie for Game 1 against the Kings.

Oshie missed eight games with what the team called a serious bruise, but it was then re-diagnosed as a stress fracture so Oshie underwent surgery to repair it and missed the final seven games of the regular season too. Oshie returned to the ice last week and the first game of the playoffs became his target date for return, which he will hit.
Ken Hitchcock refused to comment on Oshie's status after practice on Monday, but the player confirmed he would play. Hitchcock didn't speak about anything of note, declining to answer questions about who would dress or what lines the Blues may play with.
Injury limited Oshie to 30 games this season, but he did score seven goals, had 13 assists and averaged 19 minutes per game.
The Blues will be most excited to have Oshie back on the power play, where he led the team with eight assists. The Kings committed the sixth fewest penalties in the NHL so the Blues won’t have a ton of extra man opportunities and they will have to take advantage of the chances they do get.
