The Phoenix Coyotes have traded center Matthew Lombardi to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Brandon McMillan, according to multiple reports.

The Coyotes have reacquired center Matthew Lombardi, who enjoyed the best season of his career in Phoenix a few years back.

Lombardi was set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer after having bounced between four separate teams the past four seasons. Drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2002 after failing to sign with the Edmonton Oilers, Lombardi made his NHL debut in 2003 with 16 goals and 29 points in 79 games as a rookie.
The 31-year old's best season came in 2009 with the Phoenix Coyotes, scoring 19 goals and 50 points in 78 games. Lombardi signed a four-year contract with the Nashville Predators yet played in just two games that season due to complications from a concussion. Lombardi returned to the Coyotes just prior to the start of the 2013 season as part of a trade from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
McMillan has appeared in 91 games in the NHL, scoring 11 goals and 15 assists.
