Bruins vs. Hurricanes: Carolina gives up three wraparound goals

The Bruins tried three wraparound attempts against Carolina on Monday and scored on all of them. Rich Peverley grabbed his own rebound and wrapped it in past Justin Peters to open the scoring early in the frame. As embarrasing as that goal was, Peters outdid himself on the second.

A few minutes later, Gregory Campbell pulled the puck around the net and tried to stuff it home. But Peters had apparently learned his lesson, because he covered the side of the net and the puck skittered out into the crease. Unfortunately for the Canes, Peters kept hugging the post and left the net wide open for Brad Marchand to knock it home.

Maybe he was just really, really eager to show everyone that he knew how to hug the post. Kirk Muller was not impressed, and he replaced Peters with Dan Ellis. At least now Peters can practice hugging the bench. Of course, Dan Ellis immediately gave up another goal to Marchand off a Jaromir Jagr rebound. This is getting comical.
