Heatley hasn't played since being injured in a game against the San Jose Sharks on April 3, and Tuesday the star winger underwent shoulder surgery.
Heatley's initial injury occurred while tangling with San Jose's Marc-Edouard Vlasic. Vlasic incurred a fine for slashing Heatley during the altercation, though it is believed that Heatley's injury actually occurred when he fell to the ice, rather than from the slash itself.
Heatley had eleven goals and ten assists through 36 games for the Wild this season.
