The Pittsburgh Penguins have jumped out to a 2-1 start after one period, but the shaky goaltending they've become known for looms over the rest of Game 1.

Pittsburgh took a 2-1 lead in the first, but the Senators are pressing to tie it.

Pittsburgh came out of the gates as if they never stopped playing Game 7 against the Isles. They essentially got three prime scoring chances in the first 30 seconds, and pressured the Senators enough to earn a power play in the first two minutes.
The Pens passed at will until Paul Martin found the back of the net.
But then play started drifting to the other end of the ice, and Colin Greening capitalized on an unlucky situation for Tomas Vokoun just two minutes later. Erik Condra's shot from behind the net nestled right on the goal line behind Vokoun, and Greening pushed it in for the goal.
The rest of the period was a bit of an adventure for both teams. Vokoun continued to look really off his game, and the Senators let Evgeni Malkin get the go-ahead goal with minutes left in the frame.
