Penguins vs. Senators Game 4: Brenden Morrow out, Beau Bennett in for Pittsburgh

Bennett has only played in three playoff games so far.

USA TODAY Sports

If the Penguins win Game 4, it appears they will have to do it without one of their important veterans. Brenden Morrow is out of the lineup on Wednesday, as rookie Beau Bennett takes his place on the third line.

Morrow reportedly left Tuesday’s practice session in discomfort, so it looks like whatever injury he’s dealing with is painful enough to keep him out of a playoff game. That’s assuming that this is injury related and not just a move by the Pens for more skill and less sandpaper. Morrow only has three points in the playoffs so far, but he’s provided a physical presence in a third-line role.

In steps Bennett, who only has a goal to his name so far and has been a healthy scratch for all but three playoff games. It looks like he'll skate alongside Jussi Jokinen and Craig Adams.
