Craig Anderson and the banana peel puck

When things aren’t going well, even the puck is out to get you.

Things were not going well for the Ottawa Senators as they faced elimination against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 5.

Already trailing 1-0, at 7:38 of the second period a bouncing puck found Craig Anderson's left skate and pull the step-on-a-banana-peel routine.

Though Anderson was able to stay on his feet, players swarmed to knock the, uh, “banana” across the line.

James Neal was the lucky goal scorer, giving the Penguins a 2-0 lead. Kris Letang made it 3-0 five minutes later.
