The National Hockey League has found a new buyer for the Phoenix Coyotes, according to reports.

As always in this long-running saga, the agreement is contingent on a new lease agreement with the city of Glendale.
The league approved prospective buyers Renaissance Sports & Entertainment, a Canadian-led group of investors headed by George Gosbee, Anthony LeBlanc and Daryl Jones, according to Fox Sports Arizona.
As with past tentative agreements, a sale would be contingent on reaching a new lease agreement with the city of Glendale for Jobing.com Arena.
The Associated Press reported that Gosbee’s group and NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and deputy commissioner Bill Daly will meet with city officials Tuesday to discuss a new lease.
The lease has been a sticking point for every official buyer ever since former owner Jerry Moyes took the team into bankruptcy in 2009.
Earlier this week, general manager Don Malone reached a long-term contract extension with the club, seen as an indication that the team’s ownership situation was close to a resolution and that the new buyers were supportive of Maloney.
Maloney and head coach Dave Tippett, also reported to be negotiating an extension, were believed to be waiting for assurances a new ownership group would be in place before they agreed to extensions.
