Two chances to advance. Two losses. The Red Wings certainly haven't made the most of their opportunities to eliminate the Blackhawks so far in this series. Perhaps it was no surprise that after taking a lead, the Wings got burned in the final frame in Game 6 by the Blackhawks. But boy, was it entertaining.

Chicago smoked the Wings late to force a Game 7.
Chicago got on the board first when Marian Hossa’s stick blade beat a race against Marian Hossa’s rear end.
We wondered before the game whether Mike Babcock woud place Pavel Datsyuk on a line with Henrik Zetterberg. Well, it turned out Pavel Datsyuk didn't need any linemates at all.
Chicago controlled most of the period, but the game turned when they failed to notice Caveman Eaves had slipped in front of Corey Crawford.
The Wings played inspired hockey in the second, and they eventually took the lead off a Joakim Andersson goal midway through the period. Corey Crawford did not graduate from the Doug Mirabelli School of Knuckleball Catching.
If you don’t get the reference, Doug Mirabelli was a catcher in this sport called “baseball” ... never mind, just something Google him.
Detroit's third period collapse began when Brendan Smith forgot to cover Michal Handzus in front of the net.
And it got worse when Smith forgot that Bryan Bickell was right behind him. In front of the net. With the puck. Sigh.
The game was essentially put out of reach when Michael Frolik earned a penalty shot on this play.
It was a borderline call for sure, but Frolik was granted a free shot at Jimmy Howard nonetheless. And he took advantage.
Sick. Damien Brunner brought Detroit back within one with less than a minute remaining and the goalie pulled, but it was too little, too late. In the end, hockey fans couldn’t have asked for a better result. Game 7 in Chicago on Wednesday is going to be nuts. Don’t you agree, Frolik?
