Chicago Blackhawks parade 2013: Time, TV schedule, route and more for Stanley Cup parade

Chicago is used to hosting Stanley Cup parades, as their 2010 iteration drew an estimated three million people crowding the streets to celebrate the Blackhawks victory. Friday could be slightly dampened, but here is your information on the route, time, and schedule for the championship parade.

This year could be a slight letdown, as thunderstorms are set to hang over the city for much of the day. The hope will be that the early sunshine will hang around just enough to ward off the inevitable showers. Here’s a breakdown of the full day in Chicago.

The parade will begin as the team travels from the United Center starting at 11:30 a.m. ET on Friday. Celebrations will finish with a rally in Chicago’s Grant Park at noon. Players will move by double-decker bus through the parade route down Washington St. before snaking its way on to Columbus Ave. and finishing on Hutchinson Field -- on Grant Park’s south end.
