The Kings will have to do without one of their top offensive players yet again in Game 3 on Tuesday night.
Mike Richards injury: Kings forward will miss second straight game with concussion
Mike Richards will draw out of the lineup again for Los Angeles. Richards, who took the warmups for Game 2 and then was scratched, will “absolutely” miss the third game of the series, according to head coach Darryl Sutter. Richards suffered a concussion on a hit by Blackhawks forward Dave Bolland late in Game 1 of the series.
Another missed game from Richards is the last thing the Kings need at this point. They’ve scored just six goals in their last four games. Though Richards only has two goals in the 2013 playoffs, he leads the Kings in scoring, providing eight assists and 10 points. Rookie Tyler Toffoli will likely draw in again for Richards.
