New Jersey Devils forward Jaromir Jagr is one of the hardest working athletes in the NHL. Since returning to the league for the 2011-12 regular season, Jagr has been lauded for his dedication to fitness and wellness. On Tuesday night, the aging superstar posted on Facebook about some dietary changes he had made.

In addition, he appears to have announced that the 2013-14 season will be his final year in the NHL, translation by Lenka Hosek as found on Puck Daddy:
“It looks like it will be my last season, so I can’t be too risky.”
Jagr will be turning 42-years-old this season (February). Regardless of how fit he is, his age is eventually going to catchup to him, especially when playing in the world’s top professional league. Considering Jagr owns HC Kladno and has previously expressed a desire to play for the team, his retirement from the NHL wouldn’t necessarily mean his professional career is over.
