One of the best players in NHL history isn’t quite ready to hang up his goalie pads just yet, even if that means leaving the only franchise he’s ever known.
Devils goalie Martin Brodeur willing to play ‘somewhere else’ next season
The legend wants to suit up again next season, even if that means leaving New Jersey.

Already well into his 21st NHL season, New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur told reporters on Sunday he's leaning towards returning for another go-around next season. He did admit, however, that the decision depends on what his body tells him after the season. But right now, his heart is saying to go for it.
If the 41-year-old netminder returns, it might not be with New Jersey. His contract expires this offseason, and the Devils might be ready to hand the reins over to Cory Schneider. Schneider has been brilliant this year despite a 7-9-5 record, posting a 1.97 goals against average and a .921 save percentage.
If the Devils move on, so will Brodeur.
Brodeur said if body is willing after this season, "I’ll see what’s best scenario for me if it’s back in New Jersey or somewhere else."
