There are eight games on the NHL schedule for Thursday night and a couple of really intriguing matchups.
How to watch Thursday’s NHL schedule, game times, TV schedule and preview
Eight teams are in action on Thursday, including the surprising Nashville Predators as they look to continue their fast start.

The New York Islanders are in Boston where defenseman Johnny Boychuk will get an opportunity to face the team that traded him in a salary cap related move just a week before the start of the regular season. The Penguins are in Detroit for a rematch of the 2008 and 2009 Stanley Cup Finals while Pittsburgh looks like to bounce back from a disappointing performance against the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.
The matchup of the night, however, might be in Nashville where the Blackhawks and Predators, off to a surprisingly fast start, face off in a meeting of the last two teams in the league yet to lose a game in regulation this season.
