Zack Kassian tries to jump into the wrong bench during line change

Zack Kassian was caught in a bad line change so he did the only thing he could do ... jump into the other team’s bench.

A bad line change can lead to all sorts of craziness during an NHL game. It can lead to a penalty for too many men on the ice, an odd-man rush the other way for a scoring chance and sometimes even a goal. On Thursday, it resulted in Vancouver's Zack Kassian trying to return to the bench, which is a very natural and reasonable reaction.

The only problem? He tried to return to the St. Louis bench, and, well, that just did not work or go over very well with the men in Blue. The look on the faces of the Blues players at that moment, especially Steve Ott, is pretty priceless.

This still isn’t as funny as Luke Schenn jumping into Pierre McGuire’s between-the-benches box to avoid a penalty for too many men on the ice, but it’s still pretty good.
