NHL schedule 2014: Lightning look to make it 7 straight wins

Elsewhere, the Penguins are gunning for eight in a row and the Stars are in need of snapping out of a four-game slide.

Tuesday night has become the night to load up on snacks and park it on the couch for NHL action. This time around there are 11 games to hold your attention and a pair of teams are looking to extend season-long winning streaks.

At 7 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh Penguins are going for their eighth consecutive win and they'll have to do it on the road against the New York Rangers. We'll have more about that game later today. You just got teased!

The other streaking team is the Tampa Bay Lightning and they're looking to win their seventh in a row as they head to United Center to face the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:30 p.m. Steven Stamkos had two goals in the Lightning's 4-3 shootout win against the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday.

Elsewhere, the Dallas Stars are in desperate need of a win after losing four straight. Unfortunately for them, they're facing an Arizona Coyotes team at 9 p.m. that has gotten things turned around after a bad start. As bad as Mike Smith was early on, he's been great lately. Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn will hope to change things up.

Here's the full schedule. All games except Sabres-Blues are available on NHL Center Ice and NHL GameCenter Live in the United States.
