They often say the goal post is a goalie's best friend. It's the last line of defense if the puck gets by the goaltender. Tanner Glass would like to make the argument that he is actually a goalie's best friend.
Tanner Glass saves a goal with stick at the goal line
Nice timing, Tanner.

The New York Rangers defenseman arrived just in the nick of time to keep the puck from crossing the goal line after it slipped through goalie Henrik Lundqvist. The awareness there was pretty amazing considering Glass had about a nanosecond to reach for the puck once he spotted it.
Here’s another angle. Glass basically comes out of nowhere at the last possible moment.
The save turned out to be a momentum changer -- the Rangers scored just a minute later for the first lead of the game. If Glass hadn’t gotten there in time we might be looking at a completely different first period.
