Capitals make three drop passes before Alex Ovechkin scores
Washington entered drop pass nirvana on Tuesday.

The Washington Capitals scored the drop pass goal to end all drop pass goals on Tuesday, and there was pretty much nothing the Columbus Blue Jackets could do about it.
It was magical: Alex Ovechkin dropped the puck off at center ice before circling around. Nicklas Backstrom then immediately dropped the puck back to Jay Beagle, who skated into the zone before dropping the puck AGAIN to Ovi. Ovechkin then did what he does best.
It’s the triple-drop pass goal, and it will never be repeated.
