The Montreal Canadiens made sure the Boston Bruins' two-day, two-game trip through Canada was a miserable one.
Bruins vs. Canadiens 2014 final score: 3 things learned from Montreal’s 5-1 win
Max Pacioretty and Dale Weise made it a rough night for Boston.

Max Pacioretty scored two goals and Lars Eller and Dale Weise had a goal and an assist each to lead the Canadiens to a 5-1 win against the Bruins at Bell Centre.
The Bruins were coming off a 6-1 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday and countered with Niklas Svedberg against the Canadiens. It didn't matter, however, as the Canadiens blitzed the Bruins with 34 shots on goal and an array of different goal scorers as Jiri Sekac joined Pacioretty, Eller, and Weise in the scoring. Carey Price made 21 saves to get the win.
After winning five straight games, the Bruins have been blown out in two straight against divisional foes and managed to play equally lethargic in both games. Uh oh?
Three Things We Learned
1. Weise is obviously the X-factor against Boston. He had a Gordie Howe hat-trick against Boston. He had a penalty shot goal, assisted on Pacioretty's first goal, and fought Gregory Campbell in the first period. He hasn't had a goal since Game 7 against Boston in last season's playoffs and, to top it all off, Milan Lucic didn't kill him. It makes you wonder why he was a healthy scratch when these two teams played earlier this season.
2. Not to repeat myself here, but when the Bruins look bad, they make it look awful. Back-to-back paltry performances against teams that are going to be fired up to play them every time they meet can't sit well with Claude Julien. Things are so bad right now that even Patrice Bergeron isn't playing well.
Seven. Patrice Bergeron has been on the ice for SEVEN even-strength goals against the last three games. Linemates/44-27 on for many of them

Montreal has won four in a row and things are clicking well (aside from the power play). Sudden changes like this are common for most teams, but just think of where thoughts would've been had they lost to Buffalo.
