You might have heard that Buffalo, N.Y. got hit by a huge snowstorm today. It was so huge that forecasts predicted six feet of snowfall and the National Guard was called to western New York.
Huge snowstorm leaves Buffalo Sabres game completely empty
And yet there’s still more fans than at a Panthers game.

But the Buffalo Sabres and San Jose Sharks still had a hockey game to play, so some brave fans showed up. (Emphasis on "some.")

Yikes. There is no question those are a couple thousand of the most loyal hockey fans in NHL history. Kudos. We obviously hope they get home safely.
It’s so bad that the anthem singers couldn’t even make it in.
No anthem singers tonight apart from the fans in the stands. All organ, baby.
— Joe Yerdon (@JoeYerdon) November 19, 2014 We can’t even make jokes about no fans showing up because the Sabres are bad, because it looks like more fans showed up tonight than Panthers did in Florida a month ago! And it sounds like the fans and the Sabres staff are at least having some fun with it.
Immigrant Song playing - We do come from the land of ice and snow. We're underway in Hoth!
— Joe Yerdon (@JoeYerdon) November 19, 2014 This kind of crowd is a heckler's dream. Any chiding can be heard all throughout the arena.
