Sharks goal waved off because Sabres player took out his own goalie
It’s a good thing the league is going to expand interference call reviews.

In a somewhat ironic turn of events considering the news out of the NHL GM meetings today, the San Jose Sharks had a goal waved off due to incidental contact that they didn't even commit.
Let us explain. Midway through the first period, Justin Braun's scoring chance was denied by Sabres goalie Michal Neuvirth. Then Sabres winger Tyler Ennis careened into his own netminder, causing the puck to fly into the net for a goal.
The referees ruled it incidental contact and waved the goal off, even though it was a Sabres player interfering with his own goalie. Considering the NHL is reportedly looking at expanding goalie interference calls, they might want to move on that rule change sooner rather than later.
