5 NHL Questions: Hollywood reunion for Flyers

The connections between the Kings and Flyers are considerable. A massive Philadelphia locker room upheaval in 2011 ended with Mike Richards and Jeff Carter (eventually) landing in L.A. and Wayne Simmonds and Brayden Schenn going to Philly (and Sean Couturier getting drafted by the Flyers). Everyone knows how the story ended: Los Angeles won the Cup in 2012 while the Flyers have been treading water. The two teams face off for the first time since that summer, and it will be fascinating to watch play out.

3. Will injuries finally catch up to the Lightning?

It's seriously impressive how Tampa Bay has managed to keep pace in the East without star center Steven Stamkos in the lineup for the last two months. But after losing goalie Ben Bishop and center Valtteri Filppula to injuries this week, the Lightning have dropped two in a row and might have run out of luck. Can they get some depth scoring to right the ship on Saturday?

James Reimer and Jonathan Bernier came into the season as a goaltending tandem, and have spent most of the season sharing time. But as Reimer's play slipped, Bernier's playing time has increased to the point that you could probably consider him the bona fide number one netminder. Another strong performance against the Senators on Saturday would solidify his grip on the job.

The Blackhawks and Sharks come into Saturday's matchup riding some pretty miserable streaks. Chicago has won only once in their last five games, while the Sharks offense has dried up during a three-game losing streak. Perhaps playing against the league's best will light a fire under these two squads.
