The Washington Capitals may have dominated most of the first period against the Flyers on Sunday, but Philadelphia came out swinging in the second frame. Luckily for the Caps, their goalie punched right back.
Capitals vs. Flyers: Braden Holtby robs Wayne Simmonds with great toe save
Not today, Mr. Wayne.

A centering feed in the Capitals' zone left Wayne Simmonds wide open in the slot with space to make a play. He deked and tried to pull goalie Braden Holtby out of position, but the Caps netminder shut the door with his skate.
You might even say Holtby thumbed his...toe...at Simmonds...nevermind. That makes no sense. Either way, the Capitals retained their 2-1 lead thanks to Holtby’s heroics.
