Patrick Roy leads the Colorado Avalanche into the Stanley Cup Playoffs yet again, this time it's as the head coach of a franchise that's seen a remarkable turnaround in the last calendar year.

Colorado will face a Minnesota Wild team in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs that's hovered around as a No. 7 and No. 8 seed for several seasons, but will be looking for the upset against the top-seeded Avs.
