The Anaheim Ducks are the top seed in the Western Conference. The Dallas Stars are the second wild card team, who squeaked past the Phoenix Coyotes and into the Stanley Cup Playoffs on the final weekend of the season. As a result, they will play each other in the first round. That's how this playoff thing works.
Stars vs. Ducks schedule: Dallas just can’t avoid the Pacific Division
The Dallas Stars were moved out of the Pacific Division in 2013-14, but they’ll have to beat at least two Pacific teams in the playoffs if they want a chance at the Stanley Cup. It begins against the Ducks.
