Rangers get caught with seven players on the ice

Too much man, indeed.

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

If the 2014 NHL Playoffs have taught us anything so far, it's that no one-goal lead is safe with two minutes left in the third period. That's why, down 3-2 late, the New York Rangers were just getting warmed up for one last offensive assault.

Of course, they’d have to pull their goalie first. Unfortunately for them, that caused some problems.

Whoops. We understand you're excited to score the game-tying goal, Rangers, but that's a too many men on the ice penalty if we ever saw one. The ensuing penalty effectively ended any chance at a comeback, and the Flyers took Game 2 to even up the series.
