Brooks Orpik displays some surprising skill, beats the buzzer
We didn’t know Brooks Orpik could do this.
Down two goals late in the second period, the Pittsburgh Penguins needed something to give them a spark and provide some offense. There is no way that anybody could have expected Brooks Orpik to be the player providing it.
With less than two seconds to play in the second period, coming off what was probably the Penguins' best offensive zone shift of the night, Orpik displayed some surprising skill with this spin move followed by a curl-and-drag to beat Sergei Bobrovsky to get his team on the board.
That play is coming from a guy who has scored 13 goals in 703 regular season games and just four in the past three years.
Sometimes this game is crazy.
