Marian Hossa scores, then gets launched into net

This still counts for only one goal on the scoreboard.

If you want to score goals in the NHL, you have to go to the net. And if you go the net, you’re probably going to pay the price for it, especially in the playoffs.

Marian Hossa found all of this out in the first period at St. Louis on Friday night.

Hossa scored his first goal of the postseason to give the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead when he put in a rebound past Blues goalie Ryan Miller, and then found himself in the back of the net when David Backes, in his first game back in the St. Louis lineup, launched him into it.

That still counts for only one.
