David Backes and Brent Seabrook share classy postgame handshake
Best tradition in hockey.
One moment in Game 2 between the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues could go down as the ugliest moment of the 2014 NHL Playoffs.
The moment was when Blues captain David Backes was seemingly concussed after taking a huge (and illegal) hit from Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook. The hit was vicious, and the sight of a dazed Backes and laughing Seabrook was imprinted on fans' minds the rest of the series.
Seabrook returned from his three-game suspension in Game 6 on Sunday, helping the Blackhawks eliminate Backes and the Blues from the playoffs.
Blackhawks-Blues
During the postgame handshake, the two shared a few kind words.
I’m no lip-reader, but at the very least the two seemed to put the incident behind them once and for all. Hockey is a wonderful sport, man.
