If there has been a bright spot for the Buffalo Sabres in this nightmare of a season, it just might be the development of 20-year-old forward Zemgus Girgensons, their first-round pick (No. 20 overall) in 2012.
Zemgus Girgensons scores a beauty against Detroit
Look on the bright side, Buffalo: Zemgus Girgensons looks like he is going to be a player.

He scored a pair of goals for the Sabres on Tuesday in their 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings, and his second of the night might have been the highlight of the Buffalo season. Here is going right at Niklas Kronwall, beating him with a slick between-the-legs move, and then swooping in and beating Jimmy Howard for his eighth goal of the season.
Fun name to say, fun player to watch.
