Martin St. Louis scores off terrific backhand pass from Dominic Moore

New York drew first blood in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers share a long playoff history. The two storied franchises began their 15th playoff series against each other on Saturday, but the player most unfamiliar with the rivalry scored the first goal in Game 1.

Rangers winger Martin St. Louis continued his torrid playoff streak with the opening marker of the Eastern Conference Finals. But all he did was tap it in. The real work was done by Dominic Moore.

And boy, was it a dandy.
