Update: Dan Carcillo suspended 10 games
Daniel Carcillo ejected after making contact with linesman
Daniel Carcillo couldn’t fight Brandon Prust, so he decided to fight the linesman instead.
This is one of the reasons you probably shouldn't put Daniel Carcillo into the lineup for a playoff game unless you absolutely, positively have to. He's kind of a loose cannon, and at any moment can do something dumb to put your team shorthanded.
Carcillo’s appearance in Game 3 lasted just 1:45 before he was ejected in the first period for having a bit of a physical altercation with a linesman. It looked like there may have even been an elbow in there.
Carcillo also had a two-minute minor for charging in there while Brandon Prust and Derek Dorsett were assessed five-minute fighting majors for their bout that was taking place in the background.
Between this, and the late hit Prust delivered on Derek Stepan earlier in the period, the intensity in this series has been dialed up to an entirely new level.
